About Gabriel Dayrit Arlanza
Hey what’s up, I’m Gabe, I'm a Graphic Designer and self-taught marketing specialist from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I studied Graphic Design at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and since then, I’ve gained 4 years of experience in disciplines such as Brand Idenity/Design, UX/UI, Product Design, Packaging Design, Poster Design, Photography, Social Media, SEO, and Digital Marketing. Largely an independent designer, I always believe engaging with my clients, employers, and other designers is my strongest suit; never tearing anyone down just because their ideas aren’t “great” but rather elaborating it for something greater.I believe design should be approachable, memorable, and just enjoyable to look at. It relates to how I see my work being simple and clarifying; always aiming to make design visually engaging and fun, but not taken seriously. Design is meant to make you feel crazy, to engage with you, to make an impact, and I strive to be one that makes design loved again. If the design doesn’t impact you in any sort of way, then it’s probably a bad design. In a world of A.I., I still believe that organic and raw creativity from real people make the best impact in design language. Design is everywhere, and if a computer were to take over my skills, the best work would still come from real souls.
